Winsor & Newton™ Griffin Alkyd Fast Drying Oil Colour (37ml)

Griffin Alkyd paint is a fast-drying oil paint based on alkyd resin and white spirit, which
can be diluted with the usual oil paint solvents for oil paint. Thanks to this unique
formula, the Griffin Alkyd oil paint dries faster than most oil paints, this advantage
makes it possible to complete a painting in one session. 

The oil-modified alkyd resin binder contains an odourless solvent that is needed to control the drying speed and consistency of the colour. The transparency and clarity of the Griffin Alkyd paint increases as a result. The binder used also produces a more liquid consistency than conventional oil paint.

All colours in the Griffin Alkyd range have a tool life of 4 to 8
hours on the palette. After 18 to 24 hours, they feel dry on the canvas. Thanks to this
faster drying, traditional oil painting techniques - such as both impasto and glacis - cost
considerably less time.
